After a long work of the coding, I now pronounce the release of Beach Splatter Demo.
Game Sypnosis:
This game was inspired with the recent KLH activity (Anniversary Party) which was held on the Beach (Muara). There everyone enjoyed a game that we organized, Water-balloon Battle. Not to mention that most of the people bullied a certain person. Anyhow, after seeing how enjoyed everyone in that game gave me the inspiration of making such game. “Beach Splatter” is a shoot ‘em up game where player have the privilege to splash people with water-balloon.
The game is however still under demo. The game ends if you scored 10,000 points. However several known bugs can be detected.
- If you scored 700 points the game starts to lag.
- Player’s Hit-Point never decrease.
- Sudden disappear of enemy as soon as they’re clicked.

KLH Society has now marked it’s 5th year since our establishment. Its amazing how we’ve been working for 5 years. Just recently he organized many activities, meetings and now it appears that time is now our rival as most of us are continuing our studies. However, those won’t just be a barricade to us. there’s lots of stuff that we could do for a long term and short term.
Anyhow, KLH will continue on! Live long and Prosper!
Also do enjoy the pictures below. Photos taken by: GlowJR

I was fascinate by the January report which I had. Now I’d like to share it to everyone. Infact every new month I shall now post up KLH Site report. It’s really interesting to see how the site managed to hit 50k hits in a month. Usually we would hit to about less than 1k hits. Surely those tags of posts helped. We should keep up the good work. More tags = more visits from site generators (google, yahoo & bing).
Anyways here’s the site report. Post up any comments.

Comrades, we just landed ourselves in a cash-crawling capitalist venture!
Fellow brethren,
I am pleased to announce that our society’s business wing, KLH, Incorporated has entered the qualifying Round 2 of The Hong Kong & Shanghai Bank Young Entrepreneur Awards, which according to their website, ‘is a regional business plan competition for post-secondary students from Hong Kong and countries in Asia to demonstrate their creativity and business acumen.‘ KLH, Inc. was created on the 11th of January 2010 to represent KLH’s business interests in the upcoming competition, and this subsidy of KLH will serve to generate capital and funds for the society in the future. This section will be headed by Team Leader Kelvin Soo, Business Analyst Arvin Ong & Public Relations Officer Joel Kester. Arvin Ong will be appointed Head-of-Section for KLH, Inc. in recognition of his strong sense of business hence thereof.

With great ideas come greater money-making opportunities.
For this competition, we submitted our business idea in the form of an eco-friendly product that partially lives up to its name, Chlorogel. Green as chlorophyll, but not as jellyish like gel. For the first time since the submission of KLH, Inc.’s business idea, we shall release to the general public, and our fellow comrades, our proposal as well as shedding some light on our product.
Value Proposition
Marketing ‘Chlorogel’, a solid silica block of highly porous structures immobilized with thylakoid plant cells, creating a photo-catalytic reactor capable of photosynthesis.
1) All about Chlorogel
Chlorogel is derived from the Greek ‘chloros’ for green and ‘gel’, a solid jelly-like substance. Despite its nomenclature, is not a gel, but merely derived from aerogel, its precursor material. Immobilized within it are thylakoid cells, membrane-bound compartments that act as the actual sites of photosynthesis in plant cells whereby light energy is harnessed to convert carbon dioxide into oxygen and water, hence giving chlorogel a green color. By closely following the manufacturing process of its forerunner, the aerogel, a chlorogel is made by adding thylakoids during one of the procedures, which scientists claimed to have successfully formulated.
Chlorogel is similar to Aerogel, a dry manufactured porous solid block of the lowest density & lowest thermal conductivity ever known. Aerogels are very light, having a Styrofoam-like texture, yet structurally strong, being able to bear a load a thousand times its mass. Like aerogels, chlorogels share its same physical properties, except being greenish rather than translucent-blue, life-supporting thylakoids within its solid matrix and better durability. They could withstand extreme conditions of temperature and weather that could drastically affect or destroy plant cells, and are thus more effective than trees or green plants in converting carbon dioxide to oxygen, due to their specific nature. Chlorogels are minor irritants, but do not display any hazard to the environment and are degraded into harmless substances, as silica and thylakoids constitute a major part of the chlorogel.
Applications include ‘substitutes’ for trees in areas where carbon dioxide emissions are high and have limited space for planting trees, transportation of live organisms inside enclosed surroundings, like a cargo truck, where oxygen is continually used up by respiring organisms, in the generation of electrical energy from mimicking the photolysis of water by harvesting solar energy available from the sun, thermal insulation with the added bonus of oxygen generation inside buildings, cheaper & sustainable option to metal catalysts in industrial processes and also as marketed goods for sale to consumers as chlorogel-based products.
2) KLH, Inc.’s Chlorogel: Goals & Objectives
KLH, Inc.’s business agendas can be identified and split into two fields of separate dogmas:-
a) Green Goals
Chlorogel serves mainly to act in a similar manner as a hundred trees put together, supplying us with oxygen whilst removing carbon dioxide. Our product aims to create a positive impact to the environment by performing its said functions; as a defense arsenal against the threat of pollution and greenhouse gases.
- To reduce carbon-dioxide level in the atmosphere, hence diminishing the global ‘greenhouse effect’.
- To devise a possible photo-catalytic bioreactor that generates adequate energy output, is cost-effective and pollutant-free.
- To develop an air purifier that efficiently exchanges carbon dioxide in the atmosphere to oxygen, as well as removing any harmful pollutant gases into non-pollutants.
- To create a biocatalyst that may see its application in the industry as a greener alternative to expensive and scarce metal catalysts.
b) Business Aims
For the company to survive, KLH, Inc. must market chlorogels with good turnover & profits, as well as manufacturing it with minimum cost in order to prevent substantial losses. Our business aims can be realized by the following:-
- To establish a world-wide market for chlorogels around the globe to wholesalers, retailers & consumers alike.
- To downside the cost of manufacturing chlorogels with minimum capital and expenses.
- To reduce the upkeep cost of chlorogel.
- To patent any chlorogel-based products that the general public could use in their daily lives, hence creating a world-wide demand.
- To establish branches and recruit agents in the international level for securing profits and transport services.
3) Potential for Chlorogel in the market
We at KLH, Inc. are aware that there will be a small market for chlorogel upon initiating sales. After advertising and publicity by the press media about chlorogel, our product will obtain recognition from the public. Favorable views from consumers will increase sales and upon discovering greater applications for chlorogel, will proportionately increase its market potential given the great demand for said product.
Chlorogel appeals to a wide range of consumers. These may include:-
i) Industrial/Secondary Sector – As biocatalysts, bioreactors, anti-pollutant purifiers, etc.
ii) Private Sector – As marketed manufactured goods, private use, etc.
iii) Municipal/Public Sector – As ‘green’ construction materials, photo-catalytic reactor, etc.
iv) Nonprofit/Third Sector – As an environmentally-beneficial air purifier, etc.
We mainly target the industrial and municipal sectors as our prime consumers, because they possess the purchasing power needed to satisfy demands for chlorogels as they are rather expensive and only feasible to manufacture in bulk quantities. These sectors will utilize the chlorogel primarily for the disposal of greenhouse gases, though other functions such as an industrial catalyst in the production of oxygen gas will serve to increase demand from other sectors. Cities with high carbon dioxide emissions like Shenzhen, China and Austin, USA will be primary purchasers of our products.
4) Chlorogel & its enduring growth potential
Already, Chlorogel’s precursor material, aerogel, have shown very promising prospects, now being used in various applications in the petroleum industry as an industrial insulation for pipelines, construction industry as a thermal insulation for walls, roofings & floors, clothing and apparel insulation and so forth. Chlorogel could be used in the same manner as aerogel, but being green, it would allow for an eco-friendlier aerogel-derivative, with the bonus addition of being able to convert carbon dioxide into the much needed oxygen that all aerobic living organisms respire on. It will also see its applications in other fields as well in the future, as scientific research and cheaper manufacturing processes are in the progress of making aerogels, and hence, chlorogel more marketable to the general public. Chlorogel can also be infused with other highly effective biological enzymes and chemical compounds to produce a multi-purpose medium for catalytic reactions, thermal insulation, electrical conduction and so forth.
Photoshopped? Yes, for now. Reality? Perhaps, in the near future.
A big thankyou to Arvin Ong & Joel Kester for assisting me in the formulation of the business proposal as well as Nabil GlowJR for the logo of KLH, Inc. and photoshopping Aerogel into green Chlorogel! XD Support us as we earn a name for KLH at Kuala Lumpur for the regional finals in July! ONWARDS TO VICTOREHHH!!!

Hello people, I suppose that it’s totally has been awhile since my most recent post. Things have gone really wild and out of control but there’s no need for you to worry! As from here on wards there WILL BE CHANGE among us. However this matter is still not discussed with other KLH staffs.
Alright, first of all, Happy New Year 2010 to the whole world (especially to those who read this). This is a good start for something new too. In Japan, 2010 is the year of Tiger. They’re one year earlier than chinese calendar. Hope that most of you are looking forward to this 2010.
Secondly, I know there has not been much of post. This is due to the less efficiency and staffs member. We hope that we could have more people who would like to contribute to us. If you are willing to contribute post(s) please sign up with us and let us know. If you would like to know more info please don’t hesitate to contact me @ glowjr@klhsociety.com or just drop in by our shout-out box if you need it urgently.
Next, is the splitting of KLH Society. No! Not breaking up, but we’re opening branches which will be based on different countries. For now we currently have “TWO” Branches. One in Brunei (HQ) and one satellite in UK.
Brunei – BruKLH
UK – GBKLH
As you all know Kael and Clerk Burton are now in charge of BruKLH, while I’m in-charge of GBKLH. We’re hoping to open several more branches throughout the world but for now we’re like to open within South East Asia (SEA), Singapore, Malaysia, & Indonesia. Hopefully this plan will work but may takes time.
Fourthly, is what KLH will be doing. Up until now people have been hesitating about our actions, on what we’re doing, and our goal. We’ve only been organizing parties and making online news. Also the things that we do are more likely to be more less and lesser.
Lastly, KLH this 2010 will be more involved with the world around us. This means that we will be more alert on what’s happening world wide. Also there will be more things that will be organized which anyone world wide able to participate.
If there is more that you would like to suggest don’t hesitate to contact me or our staff members. Do use the KLH Contact Us page for inquiries or if you’re plain lazy use the shout-out box.

KLH Society,
General Manager,
